Welcome to MailCode ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("App").
By using MailCode, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2.1 Personal Information
Google Account Email Address: Required for authentication and Gmail access
Gmail Messages: Accessed and cached locally on your device for display only
Email Templates: Custom templates you create are stored on our backend (Supabase)
2.2 Automatically Collected Information
Device Information: We do not collect device identifiers (IMEI, UDID, etc.)
Usage Data: No analytics or tracking data collected
Location Data: We do not track or collect your location

3. How We Use Your Information
3.1 Core Functionality
Authentication: Verify identity with Google Sign-In
Email Management: Display, send, and manage Gmail messages
Template Storage: Save and sync custom email templates across devices

Error Reporting: Diagnose and fix crashes (via Google Play Console)
Performance Monitoring: Improve speed and reliability

4. How We Share Your Information

5. Data Storage and Security
5.1 Local Storage
Gmail Messages: Cached locally, not stored on our servers
Authentication Tokens: Stored securely in Android KeyStore
Templates: Stored locally and synced with Supabase
5.2 Remote Storage
Templates: Stored on Supabase servers (encrypted in transit via HTTPS)
Server Location: Supabase runs on AWS (regions: EU/US)
5.3 Security Measures
✅ HTTPS/TLS for all communications
✅ OAuth 2.0 authentication
✅ Android KeyStore encryption for tokens
✅ No plaintext password storage
6. Data Retention
6.1 How Long We Keep Data
Gmail Messages: Cached locally only; cleared when you sign out
Templates: Stored until you delete them or your account
Auth Tokens: Stored until you sign out
6.2 Account Deletion
Steps to delete your account/data:
Open MailCode
Go to Settings
Tap Sign Out
Uninstall the app
Result: All local data is deleted. Templates stored in Supabase can be deleted manually before signing out.
7. Your Rights (GDPR & Privacy Laws)
7.1 Access
View your templates and cached emails within the app
7.2 Deletion
Delete templates individually
Sign out to clear all local data
7.3 Portability
Export templates (feature coming soon)
7.4 Opt-Out
Stop using the app at any time
No analytics or tracking requires opt-out

8. Children’s Privacy
MailCode is not intended for children under 13 years old.
We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we become aware of such collection, we delete it immediately.
9. Google API Services User Data Policy
MailCode’s use of Google API data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.
Limited Use Disclosure:
Gmail data used only to send and receive emails on your behalf
Gmail data not transferred to third parties (except Supabase for templates)
No Gmail data used for ads or marketing
Only minimal scopes requested (send/read)
10. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in other countries with different privacy laws:
Supabase: US or EU AWS regions
Google Services: Global infrastructure
By using MailCode, you consent to international transfers.
11. Changes to Privacy Policy
We may update this Policy. You will be notified by:
Posting updates in the App
Updating the “Last Updated” date
Continued use = acceptance.
12. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
California residents have additional rights:
Right to Know: What personal data we collect and how it’s used
Right to Delete: Request deletion of personal data
Right to Opt-Out: We do not sell data, so no opt-out required
